ADSORBTION COLUMNS WITH ACTIVE CARBONS
Adsorbtion Columns with Activated Carbon that we offer are "disposable" and usually used for odor abatement and low concentrations of VOCs or solvents, thanks to the transfer (adsorption) of the pollutant, contained in the gas emission, to a gas adsorption material (activated carbon) which is periodically disposed of and then replaced.
The Adsorption is predominantly a physical phenomenon, in which the molecules of the adsorbed substances are retained on the coal by weak forces like Van der Waals forces, simultaneously to a partial deposition of colloidal particles on the coal surface.
Through the activated carbon treatment, the aeriform current, containing airborne organic pollutants, is sucked by one or more fans, downstream of which can be installed one or more filters, installed in series or in parallel. The spent carbon must be periodically removed from the columns and then disposed.
The search for cutting-edge engineering solutions, aimed to improving the technology has led us to develop a two-stage system that allows to transfer the charcoal from the second to the first stage of treatment, ensuring the optimization of multi-stage process, through maximum exploitation activated carbon, up to the total exhaustion.
