ATEX CLASSIFICATION - REPORTS AND TECHNICAL DOSSIER
Fidia Engineering assists companies in the definition of risk of explosion's areas according to the ATEX directive, as well as regulated by the Italian and European regulations. When requested the classification is performed on the basis of international regulations (API, NFPA, IP, etc.).
The classification of solvent and powder hazardous areas is made by the report of Technical Areas Classification according to European standards EN 60079-10 (gas and solvents), 61241-10 (powders), and Directives 94/9/EC and 99/92/EC (ATEX) and when is required by drafting a TECHNICAL FILE signed and stamped by our competent personnel, through the procedural sequence described below:
- Identification of potential emission sources;
- Determination of the emission degree for every individual sources in relation to the frequency and duration of the issue itself;
- Evaluation of the parameters that can influence area’s type and extension;
- Determination of hazardous area’s type and extension.
We usually use the official CEI’s program, PROG Ex, for Hazardous Areas classification.
Our technical reports and TECHNICAL DOSSIER are always accompanied by various explanatory drawings in CAD format to a better understanding of hazardous areas development.
Fidia Engineering is constantly engaged in the preparation of hazardous areas's technical reports (ATEX) and its technicians are constantly updated on the development of standards, calculating software and studying bibliography.
