The Environmental Engineering activities of Fidia Engineering are subdivided into two areas:
- municipal and industrial wastewater treatment;
- emissions gaseous treatment.
For emissions gaseous treatment we operate primarily as a supplier of turnkey plants; instead, for wastewater treatment, we are constantly engaged in various sectors of industry, where we have accumulated significant experience especially in the textile and chemical and pharmaceutical industry, for which, in addition to the supply of turnkey plants, we offer consulting services, feasibility studies, basic design, economic evaluation of change projects, comparison of different opportunities (theoretical performance and choice of the most appropriate technology).
Thanks to the recent agreement with an International Company, "GWE - Global Water Engineering Ltd." (www.globalwaterengineering.com), specializing in “anaerobic technologies" field, we are expanding our operating field in the food industry, and in this direction, in the last two years (2012/2013) we have seen a huge demand for economic evaluations relating to investments for the conversion of AEROBIC treatment plants in ANAEROBIC treatment plant.

TREATMENT PLANT FOR FOOD COMPANY (MOZZARELLE PRODUCTION)
Preliminary and final design for wastewater treatment plant, of the water arising from the processes of mozzarella’s production and processing.
Average flow: 150 m3 per day (with very high organic loads).
Provided treatment units (waters line):
Initial sieving, equalization/homogenization, floatation for the fat and oil separation, wastewater's anaerobic digestion with UASB reactor (option), biological oxidation with activated sludge, sedimentation/flotation and final disinfection.
WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT FOR FOOD COMPANY (VEGETABLES WASHING)
Preliminary design and site supervision for wastewater treatment construction plant (low and high load lines, respectively, arising from the processes of rinsing and cutting/processing of vegetables).
Average flow (total): 2,000 m3/day;
Average flow (treated only by the organic section): 600 m3/day.
Treatment units provided (water line):
Initial sieving and lifting, micro sieving, grit removal, equalization/homogenization, biological oxidation (MBBR system, with carriers in the tank), sedimentation/flotation assisted with poly dosing and dechlorination's final step.
